اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting among yourselves.
وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire—of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver.

“And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the Hereafter—that is the true life.”
True life is the Hereafter.

Nature of worldly life.
وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
“And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.”
Worldly life is deceptive.
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ
“But you prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring.”
Hereafter is better.
