And to Madyan We sent their brother Shu'ayb. He said, 'O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him.'

And Lot, when he said to his people, 'Do you commit immorality that no one before you has committed?'

فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً
“As for Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, 'Who is greater than us in strength?'”

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ
“So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune.”
